About
Easter Camp provides a safe community where young people can grow in, and explore, their Christian faith; focus on their relationship with God, and enjoy fellowship in Christ with others.
Held annually over the Easter weekend, Easter Camp is a ministry of the Lutheran Youth of Victoria (LYV), and exists as a time for young Christians (aged 16-30) to gather together in a time of worship, praise, reflection and growth.
We invite practising Christians from all denominations, cultures and backgrounds to join us in Anglesea, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus together in fun, faith and fellowship.

Called To Live: Life After Easter
Galatians 2:20 (NLT)
Normal.
We all want to be normal, right?
To fit in? To be accepted?
Nobody wants to be weird, or different, or unusual, or peculiar, or if we do, we always want to be just the right amount of these things. Not TOO different from what is normal, just different enough.
But what makes something normal in the first place?
And, even more radically, what if the 'normal' way to live isn't at all the way Jesus wants us to live?
What if we're not called to be 'normal', but instead are called to be completely weird and different?
How do we continue to be normal AND follow Jesus at the same time? Is that even possible?
Based on Craig Groeschel's 'Weird', Easter Camp 2018 will dive deep into three normal areas of life - our time, our money and our relationships - and explore just how radically different these things can look when we stop being normal, and start being the very best type of 'weird' and 'crazy': The type of weird and crazy that genuinely leads us to a more Christ-centred life.
Community
Easter Camp relies on a strong community of volunteers, youth leaders and young adults with a passion for using their gifts, talents and abilities to serve God, and one another, as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Committee
Each year, our committee does and an amazing job of pulling this entire camp together!
From theme to studies to worship and everything in between, this small group of passionate volunteers make things happen.
With some of our previous committee members getting married, moving away or simply just calling it a day, there are presently a number of committee roles that we are looking to fill.
Leadership
We are currently looking for experienced members of our camping community to facilitate small group sessions, lead electives and use their gifts and talents to make Easter Camp awesome!
If you've been to Easter Camp before and would feel comfortable helping to start/gently steer discussions in a small group situation, let us know!
Electives
This year, Easter Camp will feature a number of short (one-two hour) electives that will help campers to dig deeper into aspects of faith, life and discipleship.
We are currently seeking passionate, creative, enthusiastic people to facilitate electives on the following themes:
- Time
- Money
- Relationships
Cooks
Easter Camp is self-catered - which means we need wonderful cooks!
If you have a passion for cooking or food service and a willingness to offer your services to Easter Camp this year, we would love to hear from you.
Camp Parents
Each year, our Camp Parents provide additional support and pastoral care to our Easter Camp community, offering wisdom, counsel and life experience to the campers, leaders and committee members both in the lead-up to, and during the camp itself.
We love having them around!
